A fragrance launch in Greenpoint

Because of Brooklyn's big worldwide popularity, clients have begun to invite their guests, press & influencers to the borough for events. Here it is YSL Beaute for the international press launch of their new Men's fragrance... 'Y', see for yourself:

When our agency friends from shortcut in Paris suggested Greenpoint we were excited to stay in Brooklyn and produce the press conference there! With the vibe perfectly complementing the message and visual ad campaign for YSL's 'Y' fragrance this show was well liked all around.

Swiss hockey player coming to America

One fast skater is hockey player Nico Hischier... a first draft currently playing for the New Jersey Devils. We filmed with Nico a 'behind the scenes' video for the title shoot of 'Schweizer Illustrierte'. There he tells about his new life in the New York area, how things have changed from Switzerland and about his travails. See the full story by Christian Buerge here... , photo shoot by our dear friend Peter Lueders.

Saint-Gobain's World Tour Stop in Philadelphia

When French glass maker Saint-Gobain's celebrated its 350th Anniversary with a World Tour and stop in Philadelphia, we were chosen to manage the entire production onsite. Permitting, architectural planning, city and municipal interface, setup flow, crew coordination & hire, infrastructure support with a few last minute 'odds and ends' sprinkled in... here's a clip of the show's Shanghai setup.
French conceived by agency FC2 and Czech built by Swiss firm Nussli this was no small event, but well received by 100k plus visitors and a very happy Saint-Gobain USA team.

WhiteWall-Lumas at Javits Center

...for the PDN photo show at New York's Javits Convention Center came WhiteWall a printing, framing and artwork firm from Berlin, born out of better known art company Lumas. With only two weeks planning time we pulled off the cross-Atlantic implementation of the idea. Large visuals worked well, like magnets giving proof to the popularity of the booth and confirming the important presence at this show.

A Little Sparrow's Big City World

Tiny sparrows in Manhattan? YES... in traffic light poles above road intersections, 20ft/6m above the earth. Take Empire State and 5th Avenue! For our friend director Kurt Mayer we produced here in NY. Shot worldwide in Beijing, Vienna, Paris, Moscow, Cairo and NY the entertaining film tells the story about the little guy's life & survival in the big city. A popular Festival contestant, here's a link to the full version of the film. Enjoy!

Park Avenue Sidewalk

For Lanxess a specialty chemicals company, we were asked to translate the idea of New York's sidewalks into a trade show billboard. Armed with briefing shots of Manhattan's business district, we set out to survey streets and sidewalks... colored with Lanxess' concrete pigments. While scouting midtown...that occasional lucky moment appeared!! Motion, a scooting pedestrian, lighting and towering
structures all fell into place!! What an exciting moment for a photographer on assignement! The result was a compelling booth display... and a verrry happy client.

HafenCity Hamburg an architectural exhibit around the US

When the International Building Exhibit/IBA finished its run in Germany it arrived for stops in Maryland, Boston, Chicago and Washington DC. Detailing the conversion of a former seaport into the new city center of Hamburg it was an urban showcase for city planners and architects alike.
We managed the exhibits' setup, move and transport around the US and insured a timely event for project manager Joachim Grell of Hamburg, see a timelapse clip of the setup.

From the Vault: The Maybach World Premiere

Some shows belong into the 'Great Events' book and this one no less! Six months after 9/11 our friends from OSK and Daimler decided to bring a major event to New York City. Bring the world's press to the Big Apple and create the most spectacular car reveal ever conceived: Put the new ultra-lux Maybach sedan in a glass container, ship it across the Atlantic atop the ocean cruiser Queen Elizabeth 2...and upon arrival on the Hudson fly in a giant sky crane chopper to pick up the 'car-in-glass container' and drop it in front of the assembled ...and stunned press crowd.

No small feat,...watch the 'Behind The Scenes Film' by Edward Basile our star intern on his graduation thesis film. Our team was instrumental from initial concept and the lead on the ground with key production support throughout, one for the ages!!

"Kinderblock 66"...a story about survival

Our film Kinderblock 66 is making great progress, with several recent film festival showings. Earlier in April during Liberation days the documentary was shown to a select audience of survivors in Buchenwald, Germany ...click below to play clip of German TV:
...and then invited to the Jerusalem Film Festival with all the producers and survivors attending. In the US, Kinderblock 66 has been shown on smaller festivals and just won 'Best Documentary' in Key West and in Philadelphia for Best Director 'Documentary'. A distribution agreement is secured, bringing the film officially to America. For current updates go to Kinderblock 66

Thank you for your interest!

SIEMENS Exider, A road show on rails

...the first exhibition to ever travel the planet...in a singular TRAIN.
A show for clients of Siemens E&A it came from Europe & China before North America via air, yes it was flown to Milwaukee then showed in Chicago first. 14 containers on flat-bed rail cars formed the self-powered trade show, with displays & product simulations, a 3D-movie theater and cafe lounge.
Stops in 16 cities around North America beginning in the Midwest to the East Coast and Mexico then Western US and Canada. We moved the train, built roads along the track, staged opening events with tents, snacks and greeters and managed this entire endeavor. Our German colleagues of OSK kept the train humming and 'in shape'. For sure not your everyday project!

Leica and Mercedes-Benz

...have both an important date in common: The world launch of the Leica M camera and Gullwing Mercedes 300 SL in 1954 in New York City. For the anniversary we produced a fashion and lifestyle photo shoot for a select group of journalists and armed them with Leica product. Just like any day we chased the light for that New York look & feel...with great success!
